Notable leaders of the opposition All Progressives Congress, APC have said the ruling party at the federal level, Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, will be shocked by its mass rejection by Nigerians in the 2015 elections.
The party leaders who spoke in Lagos weekend vowed that the imminent defeat of the PDP in the Ekiti and Osun governorship elections in June and August respectively would serve as a foretaste of what awaited PDP in the 2015 general elections.

The optimism

Speaking at a meeting of PDP members held in his residence in Isiebu in Isiala Mbano LGA, the former guber aspirant accused Okorocha of using threats on parents and civil servants in the state to force people register in APC.
Describing the registration exercise as deceptive, Araraume urged PDP members in the state to rise up against the action of the governor.   
He vowed that the PDP in the state would resist every attempt by the governor to make Imo State headquarters of APC. “They tried  it in Anambra State and it failed. It will not work in Imo,” he said.
While urging PDP members to join hands with him to move the party forward, Araraume insisted that the party would regain its lost glory by taking over the glass house in 2015.
He reiterated his commitment to ensure a strong PDP and to bring the party to power, while assuring that the party in Imo will support President Jonathan’s second tenure

G-7 GOVERNORS

The ranks of the All progressives congress (APC) swelled on Tuesday with the final declaration of the aggrieved Peoples Democratic Governors otherwise called G-7 Governors finally pitching their tents with the opposition.
They made the declaration Tuesday morning at the Kano Governor’s Lodge in Abuja.
