FOUR persons – a  couple, their daughter and house help-yesterday, died in a miltiple accident involving the convoy of  Ondo State deputy governor, Alhaji Ali Olanusi.
A  traditional ruler, the Osunmakinde of Ife Tuntun, Osun State, Oba Obawure Taofeek Olaposi, who was seriously injured in the crash, is on admission in Ondo State Specialist  Hospital,  Akure.

The deceased are the Chairman of the Nigerian Television Authority (NTA) chapel  of the Nigerian Union of Journalists, NUJ, Alex Akinwale, his wife, Rebecca, and daughter, Pauline.
The Akinwales first  child, Paul, who was also involved in the crash, however, survived.
The wife was  a staff in the Marketing Department of the NTA,  Akure.

The Enugu State First Lady, Mrs. Clara Chime, yesterday, left Government House where she alleged she had been illegally confined following controversies over her reported health challenges.

Mrs. Chime left the Government House, yesterday, following an earlier meeting between the families of her husband, Sullivan Chime, and those of Clara on Saturday. It was learnt that Sullivan had convened the meeting in view of the controversies trailing his decision to have his wife treated at

Governor Sullivan Chime of Enugu State today attempted to eject his wife, Clara Chime, from her State House quarters over her decision to go public about his illegal detention of her.

In effect, Mrs. Chime would have regained the freedom she has been denied for months, and for which she has campaigned publicly in the past week.
