Jonathan Committed to Ending ASUU Strike, Says Unijos VC
The Vice Chancellor of the University of Jos, Professor Hayward Mafuyai
has said that no previous government has put in efforts to address the
decaying education system in the country like President Goodluck
Jonathan.
He further stressed that the Federal government is committed to
ensuring that the lingering strike by the Academic Staff Union of
Universities (ASUU) comes to an end soon.
Mafuyai, who stated this Friday while addressing newsmen in Jos also dissociated himself from the recent position of the Unijos chapter of the ASUU voting in favour of the continuation of the four-month old strike on the ground that the meeting between the union and the federal government held recently achieved nothing.
